Good evening Middle Creek High School families, 

I hope that everyone had a restful and relaxing weekend.  Students did an excellent job navigating the various schedules last week. Additionally, we had an outstanding time with our first “Mustang Moments” choice activity session on Thursday!  Students chose how they wanted to spend their advisory time this round, and it was an absolute pleasure watching them engage in some of their favorite activities and with students who had similar interests.  We are excited to continue this as a part of the mustang moments advisory time moving forward.

Seniors:

Purchase an MCHS Senior Yard Sign! 

The long awaited senior sign pre-order is starting today!   You can pre-order personalized and non-personalized signs for your MCHS Class of 2023 Senior through Friday, March 17th.   The signs will be available for pick up in the middle of April.  We will communicate pick up information once we know when the signs will arrive.    To order a sign for your senior or donate a sign to a senior, please click here http://bit.ly/MCHSseniorsigns

 

ATTENTION SENIOR STUDENT ATHLETES:

The MCHS Stampede Club awards scholarships to senior athletes who have shown leadership and achievement in the classroom, on their team and within their community in high school and beyond.  There will be ten $1,000 scholarships awarded to MCHS senior athletes.  Scholarship applications will be DUE to the Athletic Director, Chris Eason by April 28, 2023. Information from Student Services:

Career and College Promise Information Session for Students

Current sophomores and juniors who are interested in taking classes for free at Wake Tech next year through the Career and College Promise program should sign up for one of the information sessions that will be held Friday morning, March 17.  Students have access to the sign-up in their counselor google/canvas classrooms and must sign up by Wednesday, March 15.  Interested students should have a 2.8 unweighted GPA or higher.  Students will be sent a pass to the meeting and we will go over the different courses available, the benefits of taking CCP classes, and the process for signing up and adjusting your MCHS schedule.

 

Seniors: Please report scholarships to Student Services!

Senior and senior families, we want to recognize seniors who have been awarded scholarships this year and include them on our Senior Scholarship Listing.  Please take a picture of the scholarship letters that you have received and email to Mrs. Mercado in Student Services at dmercado@wcpss.net.  Last year’s seniors received over $8 million in scholarships and we know the Class of 2023 will represent just as well!  Make sure to check our Scholarship listing page as we have posted several new available scholarships over the past few weeks.
