Principal's Weekly Message
Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,
It was a wonderful and smoothly executed exam week, and I want to thank all our students and families for a fantastic 2021-2022 school year. With all the changing guidance, and adjustments post-remote learning, I am grateful to be able celebrate such a successful year and I hope your students enjoyed their time, their teachers, and have some positive memories to add to their school experience.
Below I have only a few updates and informational items, along with some very specific Senior reminders. As we close out June, be advised that I will be taking a break from the weekly messages until July, when we will begin with “back to school” communications. If you or your student need anything specific over the summer, please be advised that most staff is on summer break. Our office is open daily from 7:00-3:00pm., and there will be select staff on hand for specific needs. We hope that our teachers, students, and families enjoy some downtime this summer!
Information & Reminders:
Report Cards:
Grades are being finalized by teachers early next week. Once those are in and we have received final EOC scores for the English 2 exams, we will be ready to print report cards! Please expect final report cards to be coming home in the mail sometime the week of June 20th-24th. If you do not receive one, please feel free to contact our Student Services Department during the month of July if you need grade information.
Can you help with PTSA next school year??
We are looking to rebuild our MCHS PTSA group for next school year! If you are interested in possibly chipping in to support the PTSA (even in a small way), please let us know!
We will set up an information only virtual session to describe some of the ways that PTSA supports and “boosts” the academic programs and school and discuss how you might be able to help. Ms. Healy is collecting names for Principal Peckham, so email her at jhealy@wcpss.net if you are interested in hearing more and being added to the list for the virtual information session.
Yearbook Pick up:
If you purchased a yearbook and your student did not yet pick it up, there is still time over the summer! Our office is open this summer from 7:00-3:00 each day, and you are welcome to swing by and pick it up at the front desk. You may not pick up a yearbook for other students and unfortunately we have sold out of all extra copies.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications:
Please know that beginning with the 2022 – 2023 school year, full-paid Breakfast will be $1.75, and Lunch will be $3.25. Meals will still be free for the remainder of this school year for all students, but beginning next school year, only families who apply and receive Free or Reduced Price Meals will be able to receive free or reduced-price Breakfast or Lunch. To help families get started on this, the Wake County Public School System has information on their website at this link. Families will need to complete the 2022 – 2023 meal benefits application, which will be available online at www.MySchoolApps.com beginning July 1st. Paper copies will also be available for pick up at the school office beginning in July.
