Principal's Weekly Message
Good afternoon Middle Creek High School families,
I hope everyone has a great last instructional week of the 2021-2022 school year. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with our Class of 2022 seniors at the senior picnic this afternoon.
Next week we are headed into exams, so there are only a few items to review below. Thank you for your attention to the calendar items and details below.
Information & Reminders:
Information for Second Semester Exams:
Our Spring Semester exams are NEXT WEEK! Important information related to the daily exams, and the process to check out early is linked below.
Please keep in mind that the exam window is set by the state, and only very specific medical situations could be cause for testing outside this window. Please email our testing coordinator, Anna Carpenter at ascarpenter@wcpss.net if you have any questions.
Early Release Permission Slip (1 needed for each day of testing.)
Quick reminder that students cannot be dismissed (or checked out from school) until the exam session for the schools has concluded. This will likely be around 12:30. Each day the end time may vary slightly, depending on how quickly we are able to begin the testing session, among other factors. Please be patient as we try to ensure a secure testing setting and navigate the many moving parts during this last week.
Can you help with PTSA next school year??
We are looking to rebuild our MCHS PTSA group for next school year! If you are interested in possibly chipping in to support the PTSA (even in a small way), please let us know!
We will set up an information only virtual session to describe some of the ways that PTSA supports and “boosts” the academic programs and school and discuss how you might be able to help. Ms. Healy is collecting names for Principal Peckham, so email her at jhealy@wcpss.net if you are interested in hearing more and being added to the list for the virtual information session.

Reminders for Seniors:
-
Please remind your senior to move any files they would like to save from their WCPSS Google Drive to their personal drive prior to the end of the school year. They will no longer have access after June 30. For instructions on saving work, please visit this link: https://google.wcpss.net/save-content/index.htm

Final Transcripts: Information for how to send final transcripts to colleges is available at this link. Please make sure your senior has made arrangements for their final transcript to be sent to their college. Failure to do this may result in difficulties registering for classes and attending orientation.
That concludes my news for next week. I hope you all have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Lacey Peckham, Principal
