Principal's Weekly Message

Good evening Middle Creek High School families,

This is Lacey Peckham, Principal of Middle Creek HS with your weekly email update.  It was wonderful having some of our Fall athletes back on campus last week, and I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start.

Below are some reminders and updates for this week that we hope are helpful.

Reminders &  Information:

Weekly announcements:

Even though we are not in the building, we are still making sure our students are staying informed with announcements twice a week during their second period class.  If your student missed them, or you want to keep up with different opportunities, please visit the “announcement” link on the main page of our website- halfway down the page under the “upcoming events” calendar. New announcements are posted Tuesdays and Fridays, and I have linked the most recent below. Friday’s announcements included information about PSATs, Men’s Lacrosse, and several club opportunities. Check it out!

Daily Announcements

Mustang Support Day: Wednesday, October 12th:

We continue to be responsive to student and teacher needs, and thusly will be having an “asynchronous” day this Wednesday, October 14th.  We have been able to offer a variety of sessions and support opportunities over the 2 previous Mustang Support Days and we have heard overwhelmingly  from the students that what they need and want more than anything is more time to complete their work! Therefore, this Wednesday students will only need to check the google classroom’s for assignments, and will not have “live sessions”.  Also on Wednesday, teachers will be reaching out to all students who are in jeopardy of failing this quarter.  Even if your students is not in danger of failing, our staff is happy to connect with you about any questions.  Feel free to send an email to the teacher and they will try to connect with you Wednesday.

Additionally, at the most recent WCPSS Board meeting, the district approved the inclusion of additional asynchronous (Remote Learning) days to be included on the calendar for First Semester. We will share more information about what to expect on these days at a later date, but wanted you to have them on your calendar. They will be:  November 18th, December 2nd, December 16th, January 6th, January 13th.
