Good evening Middle Creek families,
I hope you all had a great weekend, and safely navigated the inclement weather last Thursday and Friday. We were so pleased to be able to safely and quickly get all students dismissed and off-campus on Thursday. Though Middle Creek did experience some power outages and damage from the winds, everything was able to be repaired and restored so that we are set and ready to go for the week.
Below I have some reminders and calendar items to keep you informed for the week.
Meet the Teacher Night is Thursday!
Join us on Thursday night at 6:30pm to meet your student’s second semester teachers. That night you will report to your student’s 1st period class, so make sure to check in with them beforehand and get the correct room number! From there you will receive a full schedule to follow, with time to visit all 4 teachers. Principal Peckham will be available before and after the event in the commons if you would like to stop by and say hello!
We have seen and increase in parents dropping students off in unauthorized areas in the morning. All carpool families are reminded that they should enter into the front entrance carpool, not drop students off int he teacher parking lot. We have special education transportation drops off and teacher arrival going on in that lot, and parent drop offs in that area cause unnecessary congestion and hazards for those groups. Thank you for following our carpool guidelines.
Want support for the ACT?
Attention Juniors: On February 25, all juniors will be taking the ACT here at Middle Creek High School. Join MCHS staff for the “ACT Blitz”, which will take place February 11, 13, 19, and 20 after school in the commons.
