UbuntuFest - Monday November 21

UbuntuFest (pronounced OO-BOON-TOO) will be held on Monday, Nov. 21. This event will celebrate South African history and culture through student performances and presentations. 100% of the proceeds will go to LIV Village, an orphanage that helps the nearly 4 million orphans in South Africa.  From 7-9 PM that night there will be a silent auction of student artwork, interactive academic presentation displays, a virtual reality visit to South Africa, and student performances (songs, dancing, oration).
This event is being coordinated by English Teacher Matt Scialdone who was able to travel abroad this past summer as our Wake County Teacher of the Year.  He has partnered with our MCHS PTSA in sponsoring this outstanding event.
