Back to School Event: Thursday: Aug 10th, 2023

Back-to-School night will be held on Thursday, Aug 10th. Teachers will present information to guide you through your child’s school year. We will have two identical sessions. You may attend either session. If you have more than one child, you may attend both.  

Session 1: 5:00-5:50 pm 

Session 2: 6:00-6:50 pm 

 

The sessions are designed for adults. However, if you need childcare, we will provide adult supervision on the playground for toilet-trained and school-aged children. Children will need to be signed in and out at the playground entrance. 

 

Interpreters will be available at this event for Spanish translation. 

 

The PTA will be on site to sell Spirit Wear, assist you with PTA member registration, provide information about the Frolic, and allow you to review and vote on the PTA budget. 

 

Volunteer Registration

We are excited to announce that the WCPSS system to register parent volunteers is ready! You must register to chaperone field trips and work with students. To register, please go to the following link and follow the instructions: volunteerregistrationlink  

 

As a reminder, all volunteers must reapply through the new volunteer management system for 2023-24, regardless of their previous volunteer status. Registration can be done on or off school campuses through any mobile device or computer. 

 

Got Sneakers? 

We can help the 5th graders raise money to defray the cost of their annual Washington DC field trip by donating gently used sneakers to PMES. Not only will your sneakers help us earn money for the trip, but it will help the environment. Sneaker donations will be accepted from Aug 10th - 31st.

 

School Directory

If you would like to be a part of our 2023-2024 School Directory, please complete the Google Form.  This directory helps you find your child’s classmates to invite them to playdates, events, and birthday parties. 

 

Student Illness Reminders

Please refer to the WCPSS https://www.wcpss.net/covid19 for when to keep your child at home for illness. Please note that children must be fever free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.
