Welcome Back       

We had a tremendous turnout for Meet the Teacher! It was great to see that all of our Partnership Pioneers are excited about returning to school. School begins on Monday, July 24th. We have posted useful information and links on our school website wcpss.net/partnershipes. Please refer to the website to find information at any time of the day.

Bus Transportation

WCPSS transportation department continues to face a severe shortage of bus drivers that will cause delays in service during the upcoming school year. Sometimes, no buses will be available and students will have to find alternative transportation. Families are encouraged to provide their own transportation this school year if they are able to do so. If you would like to provide your own transportation, please visit wcpss.net/declinebus and complete the form to decline bus service as soon as possible, preferably by Friday, July 21. This will be a tremendous help to our transportation staff as they work to manage the ongoing driver shortage.

School Meals

Please refer to the WCPSS website for information regarding Free & Reduced prices, using School Bucks online to place money into your child’s account, and pricing. For the 2023-2024 school year, the cost for breakfast is $1.75 and lunch is $3.25.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, August 10th. Teachers will present information about your child’s school year. We will have two identical sessions. The sessions will be 5:00-5:50 pm and 6:00-6:50 pm. If you have more than one child within a grade span (i.e. K and 2), you may attend either session. The sessions are designed for adults.

Interpreters will be available for Spanish translation. 

Carpool Procedures

Please remember to be considerate of our neighborhood community by driving slowly and keeping the driveways open while waiting in the carpool line. When dropping off or picking up your child on Devereux Street, please be safe and wait for the car in front of you to go forward. Do not go around them. Please also keep in mind that it is illegal to turn left onto Glenwood Ave between the hours of 8:00-8:30 am and 3:00-3:30 pm. People have been ticketed.

Drop-off begins at 8:00 am and the instructional day begins promptly at 8:30 am. Please allow extra time in the morning in anticipation of traffic.
