December 19

Hello Zebulon Elementary Families,

This is Principal Newkirk with the update for the week of December 19, 2018.

First Friday

January 4 is our next First Friday event. Parents are invited to come into the building and get to know more about the work your child does daily. Have breakfast with your child, check out a book at the library, or go to the classroom and view the work your child has created in their Digital Portfolio. Parents are always welcome at Zebulon Elementary.

Polar Express

All students who came to last Friday’s Polar Express movie night received a free copy of The Polar Express. Students were given those books today. Check book bags to view your copy.

Kindergarten Registration

If you have a child who will be in kindergarten next year, it is important that you enroll him or her now. Principals use those early registration numbers to project how many teachers they will need for the next year. The more accurate those numbers are early on, the better able we are with staffing the building to capacity. Remind your friends and neighbors to register now too. June, July, and August is too late to register for kindergarten.

Lost and Found

We have lots of coats, jackets, and sweaters in our lost and found. Please stop by and pick up your lost clothing before the holiday break. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity this Friday!

Homework Resources

WCPSS has a new digital homework resource to help you help your child. Currently, resources are housed for grade 3 and up. More resources will be coming soon. You can access the page here.
