Important Information about Open House 9/21/22
Good evening families!
We’ve had a magical start to our new school year and are excited to have all of our Wizards back in the building to grow and succeed!
Washington’s Open House is September 21 and includes all Washington families and students. It’s your chance to hear from your child’s teacher all of the creative ways they’re going to help your student(s) grow this year. It’s also a chance to meet your PTA leaders, community partners and sign up to help us at school!
This year we’re also bringing back the opportunity for parents to sign their child up to stay after school with supervision. We recognize it is often difficult to pick up children in carpool or wait for their bus and then turn around and come back for Open House. In order to support families so they can attend Open House on September 21, the school is providing child care after school until 5:00 pm. School staff will supervise students and also give them time to eat. The Boys and Girls Club is closed on September 21.
**If you would like your child to stay after school on the day of Open House, please register your child(ren) using the link below BEFORE Monday, September 19. Students must be registered prior to Open House so that we can ensure enough staff coverage for safe supervision.
*Families are asked to send $2-4 PER CHILD in a marked envelope for the PTA for pizza.
*Families can also pay their $2-4 PER CHILD online via MemberHub.
We have structured Open House so that parents do not miss the opportunity to meet each teacher and learn more about the classroom, as well as our specialist team and community partners. Parents that complete the “task” will give their student a chance to win a Washington t-shirt!
Wednesday, September 21, 5:00-7:00pm

Each family picks up a “task card” when they arrive.

Visit the cafeteria to learn about community partnerships, like WCPSS Special Education Services, Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts and more.
