Not far from the gardens, and just outside the Media Center stands the MECME Pollinator Inn. To the casual observer, It may appear to be just a stack of old bricks, but to our campus ecosystem, it is so much more. The flowers and vegetables that we grow at Millbrook Elementary rely on insects to pollinate them and those pollinators need a place to live. The MECME Pollinator Inn is filling vacancies with caterpillars, ladybugs and many other insects. The Inn is also a learning space for students to observe it’s residents. The MECME Pollinator Inn is just one of many features of our campus that promote a positive relationship with our environment.
