Field Day

Anyone that wants to volunteer for Field Day on June 11th must be an approved volunteer.  Please go to this link to put in your application as soon as possible as the background check can take a while to go through.  Link:  https://myvolunteer.com/wcpss/volunteer/login

Please remember that you should not be parking in the back bus loop parking lot and walking your child up to the school.  Please get into the carpool line, it moves quickly and is the safest way to drop off your child.

Smart Phones and Watches

Students who carry a Smartphone or wear a Smartwatch will need to keep these in their book bag in the silent mode.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

COVID and other contagious illnesses

Lately, we have seen a rise in COVID and Flu.  Please make sure that if your child is sick, you consider testing them in order to help us keep COVID down throughout our building.  If you need COVID tests, we have them in the front office and would be happy to provide you with a 2-pack.  The recommendation for when a child is positive for COVID is for the child to stay out of school for 5 days from onset of symptoms and to wear a mask for 5 days after that.  This will help keep down the spread of this illness.  If your child has a fever, please keep them home.  They need to be fever-free without the use of fever reducers for 24 hours.  If your child has vomited or has diarrhea, please keep them home.  Thank you for your help to keep our students and staff healthy.

Carpool

Just our weekly reminder, NO LEFT TURNS- Coming into the carpool or leaving the parking lot.  Right turns only. Please drop off by 9:00 AM in the morning to avoid your student being marked tardy.  Please pick up by 4:00 PM, we dismiss at 3:35 PM.  After 4:00, you will need to come to the door to request your student.  If it becomes a habit, you will be asked to make other arrangements for your child at the end of the day if you cannot pick up by 4:00 PM.
