Radical Reader Showcase Video -- Help us wrap up our week celebrating Radical Readers at Hunter. We are creating a video to highlight all of the amazing readers at Hunter and the creative, radical places they like to read. The only rule is NO FACES, just books! Students should pose holding up a copy of their favorite book. Want to get radical? Share a fun/creative location where you read your books. Students can take a photo with their Chromebook and submit the photo or parents can upload a photo. Please refer to your VMF email for specific directions on how to upload the photos. Thank you for contributing to this video to celebrate ALL the Radical Readers at Hunter!!

Cultural Arts: We have some exciting news to share! The United Arts Council awarded Hunter with a project grant for the 2020-2021 school year. This is a result of hard work and major efforts by Elisabeth Effron, former Cultural Arts chair, as well as this year's co-chair representatives, Annah Lee and Mary Kay Kennedy, in close collaboration with Mrs. Pelton and Hunter administration. We are so grateful for the opportunity to make this project happen during this year of unprecedented change, and we appreciate the United Arts Council for this opportunity.

TEACHER APPRECIATION: Let's show our Hunter teachers how much we love and appreciate them by painting or decorating Kindness/Appreciation rocks. Students and their families can find a rock and decorate it with a message of encouragement for the Hunter team.  Families can drop their rocks off at the front of the school in the marked crate October 5-8.  On the afternoon on Thursday, October 8, interested families can meet to place the rocks along the teachers path into the school. Special thanks to kindergarten parent Jeannine Beson for the wonderful idea.

Our VMF will be digitally shared with families on Monday and serves as a single resource for families to understand all that is happening in our school community.  Archived VMFs are available on the Hunter website.  Paper copies of the VMF are available by contacting the Hunter Office.
