Author Visit: Save the date for our Spring Visiting Authors: Steve Jenkins and Robin Page. They will be visiting Hunter on Wednesday March 18th for daytime school wide assemblies and a special evening family event. Check out Steve's website here: http://www.stevejenkinsbooks.com/. Check upcoming VMF's for opportunities to pre-order books and more details about the event!
Book Exchange: The Hunter Book Exchange committee is very excited about this amazing event which is only a month away! The Book Exchange will be Friday February 7th, so start looking through your home libraries and gathering books that your children have outgrown or are no longer interested in. We hope to allow each student the opportunity to choose 1-2 books to take home and enjoy or share with younger siblings/neighbors/etc. The books left over from the exchange will be used to provide Hunter students books to read over the summer so send in as many as you can! We will collect books Tuesday, January 21st through Wednesday, February 5th. We will also need help with sorting book after school on Wednesday February 6th and/or during the day Thursday February 6th and during the exchange so be on the lookout for a sign-up genius in the coming weeks to help make this the best Book Exchange yet! Thank you for your support!
Equity Team: Looking for a way to honor the legacy and message of Dr. MLK Jr. with your family? The PTA Equity team highly recommends the Groundwater presentation on Saturday 1/18, 9 am - 12 pm, sponsored by the Southeast YMCA (just a mile south of Hunter on Rock Quarry Rd.). Kids 6-11 have the opportunity to participate in a service project during the presentation. There is also a Backpack Buddies service project on Monday, 1/20. For more info and to sign-up visit, https://forms.gle/Y3dXKWf1HD8ckXB3A.
Yearbook: Photos Needed! Please send all your great photos from recent school concerts, field trips, awards assemblies, etc to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration for the Yearbook! We rely on your photos when making the Yearbook and couldn’t do it without you! Thanks!
