Welcome to the Hunter GT/AIG GT Elementary Virtual Monday Folder (VMF)!!

 School & Administration Announcements:

Carpool Reminders:

This year, we remain committed to a safe and efficient carpool system.  Here is how you can help us:

  • Have your carpool number displayed until you exit the carpool loop.  (If you don’t have a number displayed, you must park and check your child out from the office, after 4:10pm.)
  • Prioritize safety and stay off devices.  Be ready to pull up when it is time.
  • Practice with your child how to exit and enter your car quickly.  If your child needs extra time or assistance with seatbelts or car seats, please pull up to the top of our carpool loop where you can assist.
  • If possible, we prefer for students to exit and enter cars from the passenger side.  If this is not possible, we will work out a safety plan with your family.
  • DO NOT PASS.  Please be patient and know that we will get cars moving as soon as we can. Passing cars unnecessarily places children and staff at risk.
  • The first week is tedious, the second week requires extreme patience, but by weeks three and four, we will be in our groove and the system will speed up.  We thank you in advance for your patience as the safety of our children is our priority.

Walker / Biker Privileges:

  • Walkers and bikers do not get into parked cars.  Walkers and bikers must live within our school’s walk zone.
  • If you drive to school and park, and plan to “walk” into the school to pick up your child, you must check your child out from the front office after 4:10 and / or at the conclusion of carpool.
  • Each year, walker / biker students must complete their permission form indicating who children should walk home with and from which school exit.
  • Walkers / Bikers must have their tag on their backpack.  If the tag is lost, please alert the front office, and we will provide another.
  • Safety is our priority.

PTA Updates:

Radical Readers: Calling all Radical Readers.. It's time to turn in your summer reading logs. Whether you read a little or a lot, all students who turn in reading logs receive a reward. To be part of the fun, we must have your student's reading log with his/her name and current classroom teacher's name. The logs can be turned into their teacher. The celebration for our Radical Readers will be in the Media Center on Friday, September 27th. Stay tuned for details. Are you new to Hunter and need a form? Print it here.  Or pick one up in the office where the PTA forms are stored.
