STEM week at Green

Green Leadership and World Languages Magnet School specialists put on their STEM hats in January and dedicated a week of lessons to coding with students.  As a result of the Magnet Schools of Assistance Program grant funding from 2014-2017, Green has a number of fun and engaging STEM robots for students to explore.  During this STEM exploration, students built with Cubelets and Circuits, programmed with Dash and Dot and created pathways with Ozobots.  In addition to the hardware, students also coded to complete levels of fun on the Hour of Code website.   Thank you to Mrs. McKenna and all of the specialists for helping our students to engage in STEM activities.  Many students are already inquiring about doing it again next year.  If your student is interested in coding, resources are available at https://hourofcode.com/us/learn.
