Save the Date - Virtual Bike Rodeo

Green Magnet Elementary has teamed up with the Poe Center for Health Education to put together a Virtual Bike Rodeo.  We will have representatives from the Poe Center, Raleigh Police Department and Trek Bikes to discuss bike safety and bike care with our students.

The Rodeo is free of charge.  It will be held Saturday, March 20th and we'll meet online from 10 am - 11 am.  It is open to K-5 students at Green.

The registration form for the Virtual Bike Rodeo is now available in every PE Google Classroom.  You can access it by either clicking on the message in the "Stream" or going to the "Classwork" tab in your child's PE Google Classroom and scrolling down to "Virtual Bike Rodeo".

Information to keep in mind.

  • The Rodeo will be recorded.
  • Parents will need to attend the Rodeo with their children.
  • Deadline for registering is Wednesday, March 10th.
  • If your child needs a helmet, we have a limited number to provide at no charge.  See the registration form for information.  We will attemp to have those helmets available for pickup at Green Elementary prior to the Rodeo so students can follow along with fitting instructions during the Rodeo.
  • No helmet exchanges will be available.
  • Registration for the Rodeo is limited and will be recorded on a first come, first served basis.

We hope you and your children will be able to attend.
