Good afternoon Explorers,
It’s Week 4 of school and we are moving right along! Students have been given direct instruction in our school PBIS program and expectations. We follow our MAPS at school:
M-Make Smart Choices, A-Always Do Your Best, P-practice self control, and S-show respect.
Each student is expected to follow our code of conduct and WCPSS Student Expectations. When we arrive at a behavior situation in the classroom, we will support your child in making smart choices and document the behavior. The teacher or Administrator will contact you and share the details of the behavior. Depending on the behavior demonstrated, there may be consequences administered, a behavior plan created, or outside services may be necessary to support student success. It is our goal to partner with you and support your child in meeting school conduct expectations so that each child can have a classroom that is conducive to learning.
Child Care Needs: After Care is Opening!
We have enough students enrolled in after-school care to open the program effective August 22nd--this coming Monday! Are you interested in enrolling? Call the Front Office and we will send you an application.
Attendance Update
Each student will be coming home with an attendance letter. We have a new process for sending in sick notes and documentation. Please use the attendance403@wcpss.net email address for all notes and attendance communications. The email will be checked once a day by our Data Manager, Ms. Rodger. Questions about attendance: email Ms. Rodger at trodger@wcpss.net.
