Virtual Academy Parent Update

 

Good afternoon EGES Virtual Academy Parents,

 

This school messenger is specifically for you!  Please read the information carefully and do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

 

Upcoming Important Dates

10/19:  CogAT Required Parent Meeting 4:30 p.m. 

10/25:  End of Quarter

11/5:  Quarter 1 Report Cards Sent Home

11/11:  Holiday:  No School

11-24-25:  Holiday:  No School

11/27:  Teacher Workday and Materials Pick Up for K-5 Virtual Academy for 2nd Quarter 

 

cogAT parent Meeting is for parents/guardians of 3rd and 4th grade students. It is important that you attend this meeting, as dates have changed, as well as testing and logistical information will be addressed. Please see Ms. Peden (3rd grade) and Ms. Viers (4th grade) for google meet link for tomorrow’s (Tuesday October 19th) 4:30 meeting.

 

Conferences are coming!  Be on the lookout for an invitation and sign up for conferences from your child’s Virtual Academy teacher.

 

Materials Pick Up for 2nd Quarter is scheduled for October 27th!  Come by anytime from 8:30-3 to pick up materials for your virtual academy student.  Just ring the bell, give your child’s name and we will bring the materials to you.  

 

Coming Soon!  Information about the CogAt test will be coming soon from the traditional school.  This is an assessment that will require students to come into the building. See your child’s teacher:  Ms. Viers (4th) and Ms. Peden (3rd) for details about the parent meeting and how to login and attend! 

 

Parent Notification Letters will come with the Quarter 1 Report Card.    Parents will receive notification regarding their child’s participation, attendance, engagement, and academic progress.  Students who receive the letter are at risk of losing their enrollment in the Virtual Academy and may be required to return to face to face instruction.  More information to come.
