Principal Message October 12, 2021
Week of September 12, 2021
Dear Explorer Families,
Week 10 is going to be #EPIC! Welcome back from Track Out! We had a great break here at EGES. We hosted a volunteer day and made many school improvements with the help of Truist Bank volunteers. Our school garden is now growing fall vegetables, our school sign on Jones Sausage has been power washed and new bushes have been planted to flank the school sign. Additionally, a new mural was painted in the main hallway along with new bulletin boards, including a bulletin board to help us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Bus Transportation & Notification: Change is coming!
Yellow Transportation is getting better. It’s not perfect but most buses are departing campus by 4:30. We received many requests to NOT post bus departures in TalkingPoints, as not all students use yellow school bus transportation. This will be our last week using TalkingPoints for bus departures. We will continue to post buses on Twitter. This allows for instant updates for bus arrivals on campus and departures. The Twitter handles are @eastgarnerES and @eastgarnerESbus.
