Principal Message December 7-11, 2020

WEEK OF DECEMBER 7-11, 2020

Good morning Explorers,

It's the most wonderful time of the year...here at EGES! We are working diligently to support students in learning in both face-to-face and virtual environments. Our work with your support is paying off as we are seeing more and more students log in and be engaged in learning. This year is certainly different, however, learning and growing students is still our goal. Thank you for all that you do to support your child at home.

This Week: We welcome PreK-3 Plan B Transition students for face to face instruction. Cohort Plan C students in grades 4 & 5 also attend school this week. All virtual students remain in virtual students.

Please take a moment to review the content in the Explorer News so that you will be aware of upcoming dates and events. As always, if you have any questions, please email me at cgraf1@wcpss.net.

Positivity Project

POSITIVITY PROJECT

The Positivity Project this week is “The Other People Matter Mindset-Words and Actions.”

WHAT DOES OTHER PEOPLE MINDSET MEAN?

The Other People Mindset consists of the five elements intended to help people understand ways to build positive relationships in their own lives: identifying and appreciating the good in others, knowing my words and actions affect others, supporting others when they struggle, cheering others’ successes, and being present and giving others my attention.

“Words have magical power. They can either bring the greatest happiness or the deepest despair.” - Sigmund Freud
