Weekly Message for October 4th
It was another great week at A.B. Combs! Thank you to all families that attended Walk to School day this past week! It was a huge success!
Election Day: On Tuesday, October 8th our school will be a voting precinct for local voters. Please know traffic may be busier than normal on our campus on this day.
Teacher Workday: There will be no school on Wednesday, October 9th due to a Teacher Workday.
Carpool: Please be sure to follow the directions of our carpool attendants. If your child attends any early morning school commitments (chorus, ball handling, safety patrol, and library assistants) they must be dropped off by 7:50. If students come after this time, they will need to be dropped off in the normal carpool line.
Family Engagement Event: Please join us to hear John & Jane Covey present 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm at Martin Middle School. Childcare is available. We would love for families to submit family pictures to share at our event. Please submit your pictures to email@example.com.
Make-Up Date Changed: Please know that WCPSS announced this week that we are changing one of the Make-Up Days for the two days of school we lost due to the impact of Hurricane Dorian. The Make-Up Day for Thursday, September 5th is going to now be held on Thursday, October 31st. This is a change from the originally announced Make-Up Day of Friday, November 1st. Thus, Thursday, October 31st is now a school day for students and Friday, November 1st is not a school day for students. Thank you for your attention to this change in our instructional calendar.
Please continue to visit our website at www.wcpss.net/combses and follow us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Best wishes for a wonderful weekend!
