SRMHS Bulldog Parent News- November 6

Hello SRMHS Bulldog Families-

Please see the following for school news and information.

Voting Procedures for WCPSS Students- November 6

We will operate on a 2 hour delay schedule for Election Day- November 6.  School buses will pick up students two hours later than their regular daily schedule.  WCPSS will send out reminders to parents in the days preceding Election Day.  Please see the attachment for the 2-hour delay Bell Schedule.  SRMHS Two Hour Delay.pdf

School Hours-  Please remember that students should be in class, ready to engage in instruction, no later than 7:25AM each morning.  We noticed an increase in tardiness over the past few weeks.  Our dismissal process begins each day at 2:30PM.  In order to prepare for a safe and orderly dismissal, we ask that any early check-outs take place prior to 2:00PM.  Research shows a strong correlation between school attendance and student achievement.  Thank you for making sure your child is at school unless they are sick.  If you have any questions about school attendance, please contact Ms. Dodds (Attendance Clerk) or Mr. Miller (Asst. Principal).

Please remember to regularly review our SRMHS school website for updates and the latest school information at  AND you can also sign-up on REMIND to get daily school news and information.  Please see the attachment for directions. SRMHS Daily Announcements Remind (1).pdf    SRMHS Daily Announcements- October 29.pdf

Healthy ClassroomsIt's important for us to review ways to keep our students, staff, and families healthy this time of year.  Please visit the WCPSS Student Health Webpage for information regarding Flu, Colds, and Viruses.   Encourage your children to wash their hands frequently throughout the day with soap and water.

Lost and FoundIf your child has lost a coat or any other items, please encourage him/her to look for the lost item(s) in our cafeteria and front office areas.  Any items remaining in the cafeteria on November 16 will be donated.

School bond referendum on November ballot

Wake County continues to grow at a rate of more than 60 people per day. The Wake County Commissioners and Wake County School Board worked together to create a plan to build new schools, renovate old schools, upgrade security, and improve technology. A question will appear on the November 6 ballot asking voters to approve the sale of $548 million in General Obligation Bonds to fund that plan. Learn more at
