Mr. Saunders' Message 031719
Baucom Parents and Guardians,
This is Principal Brian Saunders wishing you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day and bringing forth the rhythm and the rhyme of another Sunday Kickoff Message.
Thank you again to all of you who made it out to the PTA Silent Auction & Game Night Friday night. Fun was had by all and we raised a lot of money that will go right back into Baucom.
The Spring Book Fair is happening this week and it’s the bargain variety! There are lots of great deals to be had on books your son or daughter will love to read. Classes will be going through this week during school, but Family Book Fair Night is this Tuesday night from 6pm to 7:30pm.
There will be a PTA meeting, for any parent interested in attending, Tuesday night at 6pm in room 116. Feel free to come to the meeting with your Aviator and then slide to the Media Center after it for the Book Fair.
This Thursday is World Down Syndrome Day. Because the extra 21st chromosome resembles a sock, folks celebrating this day are invited to wear their wildest socks. Students and staff alike on Thursday, here at Baucom, will be wearing their most fun socks in the drawer, so don’t forget. Baucom is an inclusive school that builds awareness and we want our Aviators to know how amazing individuals with Down Syndrome are in our world.
Thank you Aviators, continue racking up those miles for the Baucom Marathon if you’re participating in the run on April 12th, and we wish each of you #blueskies this week!
