Mr. Saunders' Message 1/24/19

Baucom Parents and Guardians,

This is Principal Brian Saunders with this week’s Sunday Kickoff Message.

It’s almost STEAM Night! This Thursday, January 31st, at 6pm, prepare to be amazed!  Each of our grade-levels and our amazing Art teacher, Mr. Chapman, have put together a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Mathematics related learning experience for you and our Aviators.  This will be an event that will have them talking for years to come.  I know you’ve already blocked off Thursday night to be here, but it never hurts to do a reminder.  We’ll see each of you Thursday night, and if you’re worried about the crowd, don’t – we will have multiple classrooms and locations occurring simultaneously to accommodate everyone.  Lastly, don’t forget that we have corporate sponsors doing learning experiences as well Thursday night.  See you then!

Our awesome PTA has a Souper Bowl staff appreciation luncheon scheduled for this Thursday.  If you’re unsure how you can contribute your family’s award-winning recipe to the cause, please either visit the PTA page from our Baucom website and see the Contacts tab at the top or call Ms. Headlee in the front office and she will get you to the specific organizer in PTA for an event.

Thursday the 31st also marks the last day at Baucom Elementary for our tremendous Asst. Principal, Stephanie Bias.  Ms. Bias has served the students, staff, and community here at Baucom for 13 ½ years and we are forever grateful.  Please join me this week in wishing her the very best as she transforms into an Oak Grove otter principal after Thursday’s STEAM Night that begins at 6pm.

Lastly, report cards for the 2nd Nine Week reporting period and 1st semester will go home this Friday, February 1st so be on the lookout.

Thank you Aviators and we wish each of you #blueskies this week!
