FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT NIGHT (FACE):  Join us Thursday night 630-730 as we partner with WCPSS Family Academy for our Family & Community Engage Night.  This Thursday’s focus will be How to Motivate Your Child to Thrive in School by learning to Navigate the Different Platforms that Teachers and Students Use Virtually.  Make sure to tune in and listen for applicable strategies that can be used by student and parent to assist students.  This is definitely a topic you will not want to miss!!!!  We have definitely missed our families and look forward to seeing you virtually Thursday.  The meet link will be posted on our website the evening of the event.

MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION PICK-UP will be held February 3 from12-6pm.  We will process pick-ups in front of the building.  You will need to access the pick-up line by turning onto E. Stronach and then N. Privette Street and turn left onto campus to access the  carpool lane.  You will stay in your vehicle and windows closed.  As a result please place a piece of paper in your window which details Grade Level and Student Name.  Once someone approaches your vehicle with the materials please pop your trunk.  Quarter 3 materials are needed in order for students to access their work.

The I-ready middle of the year testing window will open on Wednesday 1/20/2021 and end on Thursday 2/11/2021. This assessment provides valuable data as we work to meet the individual learning needs of students. You have been contacted by one of your child's teachers via talking points and/or email with pertinent information if your child is going to take the Middle of the Year I-ready assessment.  Students will take the assessment virtually in small groups during designated dates/times which have been communicated with you from one of your child's teachers. We will have a live virtual parent session to go over the details of this assessment and answer any questions you may have about assisting your student with the assessment virtually.  This session will take place on Tuesday 1/19/2021 from 2:30pm - 3pm and you can use this link to join. Live MOY I-ready Parent Session .  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Whitney Reynolds at or 919-404-3630 ext 21088.

To help support families impacted by remote learning, Wake County Government has launched a new assistance program called WakeSUPPORTS. WakeSUPPORTS provides funding to working parents, so they can afford to pay for their K-8th grade student to attend virtual school at a safe location with reliable oversight, or receive before and after school care. It also can pay for fees that accompany subsidized childcare for families who meet specific income criteria.
