This week is TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!!!!!  In an effort to appreciate the faculty and staff for their dedication to the ZMS community, the ZMS PTA will celebrate faculty the May 7-May11.  Please help us by selecting a sign-up slot(s) and/or donating item(s).  Items donated should be sent to the main office by Monday.  Use the following link:

The front door now has an Aiphone (buzzer system) to assist with an initial screening of all possible entries of visitors into the building.  We ask that parents, volunteers, and the community are patient as we all adjust to the new procedures for visitors to be screened prior to entry.  Although we know many of your faces, the same procedures will be followed for everyone.  After being greeted to ZMS you will be asked to provide your full name, the purpose of your visit, and to show a form of identification on camera.  Upon entry all visitors will go directly to the main office, show a form of identification to the receptionist and utilize the Indentakid system located on the laptop.  When exiting campus, the visitor will need to utilize the Identakid system to log out.  We appreciate your patience and flexibility while we continue to provide a safe and caring environment.

Wake up and read book drive:  The ZMS library media center will be collecting books to donate to children from birth to 12.   Please help us to collect as many as possible.  We have participated in this event every year and would like to continue to do our part.  We are collecting new or gently used books.  There will be bins in the ZMS media center to drop off the books until May 11th.

As the weather begins to change, we would like for you and our students to review the dress code policy.  The policy is detailed on pages 9 and 10 of the student agendas.  Please click here for the link:

It allows you to see where the bus is and how close it is to your stop.  You can sign up for Here Comes the Bus at  You will need the district code and your student’s ID number to sign up. The WCPSS school code is 67500. For your smartphone or tablet, download the Here Comes the Bus app from the App Store or Google Play.

This is just a reminder regarding carpool.  Please drop off students prior to 8:15 am in carpool located at the back of the school.  After 8:15am students are considered tardy and should be checked in at the main office with a parent.  All check-outs should conclude before 2:30pm.   Please do not drop off students in front of the cafeteria or by the trailers for safety reasons.
