Happy Sunday Wakelon Families!

This is Principal Nealy  with our Wakelon Weekly Updates!  I hope that you all are doing well!  We hope that you all have a peaceful, safe, and Happy Thanksgiving!  

Thanksgiving Break: Students and staff will only have school on Monday and Tuesday.  There will be no school on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Emergency Contact Updates: Parents please connect with us if you have had any changes with your personal contact information.  It’s important that we can reach all parents and your designated Emergency contacts when there is an emergency of any kind with your students.  

Wakelon PTA : 

The Wakelon PTA will once again collect gift cards for the Teacher Gift Card Raffle.  Please see the flyer for additional details.  Thanks in advance for your support! Please click here to learn how you can support.

Zebulon Toy Drive: Your help is needed in serving the local youth of the Zebulon Community. You are invited to participate in the Zebulon Toy Drive. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to a drop-off location. We cannot accept any guns, knives, or weapons. Toys will be donated to local youth in Zebulon.

Candy Cane Lane & Downtown Tree Lighting Festival

This event will take place  Downtown Zebulon  on November 18 from 4:00-8:00.  Come and Celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Zebulon. Spend the evening strolling Arendell Avenue visiting downtown businesses, participating in Christmas activities, enjoy live performances, and celebrating with community members. 

YMCA Afterschool Program: The YMCA has shared that full operation will begin in January 2024.  All parents who have registered so far have been made aware of this update.  There is still time for parents to register their students for the YMCA Afterschool program.    This program is only available for students who attend Wakelon Elementary.  If interested, please complete the registration form by clicking on the link below.
