This is Principal Nealy  with our Wakelon Weekly Updates!  I hope that you all are doing well!  

Veteran’s Day: Our Wakelon Family would like to thank all of our Veterans for their service.  We are grateful for you!  Veteran’s Day is observed as a National School Holiday.  There will be no school for staff and students on Friday, November 10.  Please be sure to thank our Veterans.

YMCA Afterschool Program: The YMCA has shared that full operation will begin in January 2024.  All parents who have registered so far have been made aware of this update.  There is still time for parents to register their students for the YMCA Afterschool program.    This program is only available for students who attend Wakelon Elementary.  If interested, please complete the registration form by clicking on the link below.

Fall Conferences: Report Cards went home today, 11/9/2023.  Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you to arrange a Parent Conference.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher to request a conference. 

PTA Board Meeting: The November PTA board meeting will be held on Monday, November 13 at 5:30 in the school’s Media Center.  All are welcome to attend.

NC Check In Assessments:Will be held next week for 3-5 students.  Your child’s teacher will share additional information about the date for your child’s test.
