Happy Sunday Wakelon Families!

This is Principal Nealy  with our Wakelon Weekly Updates!  I hope that you all are having an amazing weekend!  

Teacher Workday will take place on Wednesday, November 1.  There will be no school for students on this date.  

YMCA Afterschool Program: The YMCA has been approved to host an afterschool program at Wakelon.  Please keep in mind that this program is not directed by any of our Wakelon staff.  It will be fully operated by the YMCA staff, they are just using our school building.  This program is only available for students who attend Wakelon Elementary.  If interested, please complete the registration form by clicking on the link below.

Quarter 1 PBIS Celebration:  We will be celebrating our students who showed positive behaviors  during Quarter 1.  We will have fun Fall Festival activities for students to enjoy throughout the day.  Please continue to stress the importance of having positive behavior to your students.  We appreciate your partnership!

Costumes: Please help us in making sure that your student(s) do not wear any mask or painted faces at school on October 31.  We also ask that students do not bring in any costume props (toys).  We will have fun activities scheduled throughout the day that does not require costumes.  Thank you!

American Red Heart Challenge:  Our School Has Heart!  Join us in learning about heart health and raising funds to protect all hearts – especially other kids’! Through fun activities we’ll discover ways to take care of our hearts and brains while practicing kindness, gratitude and learning ways to de-stress. Plus, we have the chance to earn PE equipment for our school!  Please sign up here and help us reach our goal.  

Quarter 1:  Quarter 1 will end on Tuesday, October 31.  Teachers are currently finalizing all grades now.  Students will have a fresh start for Quarter 1.  Report Cards will be sent home on November 9.
