Week of January 10, 2023

Happy Sunday, Wakelon Families! This is your Principal, Mrs. Nealy, with your weekly update. I hope you all had a peaceful weekend building memories with your children.  Last week, our students came into the new year with focused minds and positive attitudes.  They were focused and attentive to all directions given during the storm that took place in Zebulon and surrounding areas last week.   Thank you all so much for all that you do and for being the best partners in their educational lives.  I promise, what you do now will pay off in their future.  Always strive for the best outcome and a positive impact for your children!

mCLASS assessments will start this week for all of our students. This is a mid-year assessment that measures the development of your child’s reading abilities.  This assessment also informs us of the additional instructional support your child may need so that they can become successful readers.  Please make sure that your child attends school daily so that they do not fall behind with their testing schedule and classwork.

Carpool Expectations Please make sure that you are being cautious when driving in your school parking lot.  It’s important to slow down at all times to avoid accidents.  We ask that you continue to follow all enforced carpool rules.  ALL car riders will need to have a carpool number when picking up their children.  Cars that do not have numbers will be told to park and go inside to apply for a number.
