Weekly Message: October 31, 2022

Happy Sunday, Wakelon Families! This is your Principal, Mrs. Nealy, with your weekly update. I hope that you are having a great weekend, and look forward to welcoming the beautiful month of November.

Halloween Costumes and Candy – For the first time in several years, Halloween falls on a day when students are in session. Story-book and Superhero Costumes are allowed (though certainly not required) on 10/31 but must follow WCPSS dress code (linked here). Specifically, students should not wear or bring props or masks. No violent representations or images, including fake blood, or costumes that would be distracting. If you aren’t sure if the costume is appropriate, it’s probably not.  Also, please do not send your student to school with candy on 10/31 or 11/1. Our Bulldogs have plenty of energy without the extra sugar!

November 4 is a Teacher Workday. Our school building will be closed to all students.  We hope that you all will use this time to catch up and make beautiful memories with your children.

Kindergarten Registration is now open.  If you or anyone you know have a child who is a rising kindergarten student for the 23/24 school year, please go to our WCPSS website to learn more about the registration process.
