This is Ms. Cooper with your weekly message!
Valentine Dance: Familes please join us for 2nd Annual Mother/Son and Father/Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 22 from 3:00-6:00. All forms and money are due by Thursday, February 20. We hope to see you there!
Report Cards/Promotion and Retention Letters: Report Cards were sent home last Monday. Please review them and see your child's teacher if you have any questions. Students who are approaching proficiency received letters stating that they have not met grade level benchmarks at this time. This letter does not mean your child will be retained....we make retention decisions in June based on your child's perfromance for the entire school year.
Carpool: Carpool parents we will have new staff members working in carpool next week. You must have your carpool number visible when coming thru the line. If you have lost your tag or don’t have it with you, you will be asked to park and to go inside to check your child out. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Readvolution: We are excited to share that the students who met their Reading goal for Readvolution have been given information to access their tickets for an upcoming game. Parents, please see the brown envelope that was sent home on Monday. Students who elect not to attend the game, are invited to join us Friday, February 28 to watch the game on the BIG screen in the gym. The time is 7:00-9:00 and students may wear pajamas and bring blankets/sleeping bags. Pizza, chips, cookies and drinks will be served.
Kindergarten Kick-Off: It’s time for kindergarten registration for the 20-21 school year! We will hold our kick-off event on Thursday, February 20. The times are 9:30-10:30 and 5:30-6:30. Please come out and register your child. Refreshments will be served along with parting gifts for all students. Please come out and join us!!!
Tardies: Parents please make sure your child arrives at school on time. The tardy bell rings at 9:15. We start instruction promptly at 9:20 after the announcements. We are noticing that there is an increase of students who are arriving late to school and missing instruction. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Sick Students: Parents it is flu season and we have had several teachers and students out of school. Please help us maintain a healthy school environment by keeping students who are sick at home until they are fever and/or symptom-free.
Clubs: Clubs for students in 3rd-5th grade began last week. All clubs will be held afterschool from 4:15-5:30 Parents, please make arrangements for your child to be picked up on time.
