Ms. Horne & Ms. Dion Selected as Kenan Fellows!

Ms. Horne & Ms. Dion Two members of our Golden Hawk community have been recognized for excellence in their work!

It is our pleasure to announce that the Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership has awarded a prestigious fellowship to TWO deserving teachers from our school.  Please join us in congratulating Linda Dion and Leslie Horne!

Ms. Dion will be working with rare species of fish in the North Carolina Stat University's Biology labs with Dr. Reade Roberts and Dr. Ashley Elias.  Ms. Horne's fellowship is at the Ply-Gem Industries working on sustainable home design and product creation.

It is incredibly rare for two teachers from the same school to be offerred fellowships and this speaks volumes about the professionalism and expertise of both Ms. Dion and Ms. Horne.  This was an extremely competitive process with only 29 spots across the state.
