Homecoming 2023 Information

*** Please see updates within this message in BLUE below. ***

Homecoming 2023 is September 11-15!

Homecoming Dance

The homecoming dance will be on Saturday, September 16 from 7-10pm.  The location will be the AFHS cafeteria & aux. gym.  This event requires a ticket.  Ticketing information includes:

  • 1,200 tickets will be available.  This will not be increased due to maintaining appropriate safety and fire code expectations.

  • Tickets are $15 and are purchased through Online School Payments on the AFHS website.

  • Ticket purchasing will be staggered as described below.  This process prioritizes two things: (1) access to tickets for AFHS students first, and (2) access to guest tickets being prioritized for our seniors if guest tickets are available.
    • Tuesday, September 5, 7am - midnight:  Seniors can purchase ONE ticket for self-use.  Seniors will use THIS LINK to purchase their tickets after registering through the Google form.  Seniors must complete both the form and the payment on OSP.

    • Wednesday, September 6, 7am - midnight.  Juniors & Sophomores can purchase ONE ticket for self-use.
      • Juniors should register for their ticket on this Google form and then proceed to OSP to purchase their ticket using the link at the bottom of the Google form.
      • Sophomores should register for their ticket on this Google form and then proceed to OSP to purchase their ticket using the link at the bottom of the Google form.

    • By no later than Tuesday, Sept. 12.  If tickets remain, they will be open to any AFHS student (including freshmen) to purchase for self-use and/or for a guest.  Senior guests will be prioritized.

    • UPDATE AS OF 9/12/2023.  After reviewing the number of ticket sales and permitting senior guest tickets, we have about 20 tickets remaining.  This is not a sufficient amount to open sales for freshmen, junior guests, or sophomore guests.  The remaining tickets will be available for purchase in the front office starting Tuesday, September 12 on a first come, first serve basis starting at 2:30pm for any current student in grades 10-12 who has not yet purchased a ticket.  Purchases will be made in cash at the front office.  Ticket sales will end when tickets are gone or on Friday at 3pm.

  • Seniors who would like to "reserve" a guest ticket can do so at this link.  Note that completing this form does not guarantee you a guest ticket.  It only guarantees priority for these requests IF quest tickets are available.  Any senior requests for guests must be submitted by midnight (end of day) on Thursday, September 7 to be considered for this priority allotment.  Keep in mind, this list will only be considered if there are tickets remaining.

  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

  • To enter the dance, the ticket with assigned number and picture ID must be shown.  The ticket that was assigned to that student is the one that must be presented.  Tickets cannot be traded or resold as they will not be honored for entry to the dance.

On the night of the dance, please note the following:

  • The dance will begin at 7pm and end at 10pm.
  • Enter from the doors at the end of the school near the football stadium into the auditorium lobby.
  • Students must have a paper ticket and picture ID to enter
  • Students must arrive by 8:30pm to enter.
  • Once students exit the building, they will not be permitted to re-enter the dance.
  • All AFHS and WCPSS rules and expectations apply to this event.
