4-24-22 Message from Principal Hamler

WFHS Principal Message

Good afternoon,

This is Patti Hamler, Principal of Wake Forest High School.

Students who are taking or have taken an AP course this year, will take AP exams May 2-13. May 2 exams will be on campus (workday- meet in front of the school) and May 3-13 will be at the seminary across the street. Students can pull up their Collegeboard AP portal to see what exams they are registered to take. Exams are free; however, there will be a $40 student fee for exams not taken. For 8am exams, students should come to school at 7:30 and meet at the right side of the front of school (between carpool and buses). We will walk students over to the seminary for testing and walk them back as a group. Late students will not be admitted and an unused test fee will be assessed. For noon exams, students should meet at the same place at 11:30am. Students who show up to take AP exams will not be marked absent from their courses that day.

The AP exam schedule is linked HERE. Please make sure students eat a good breakfast, bring a #2 pencil and blue or black pen, umbrella if it is raining, comfortable walking shoes, and calculator for approved exams. If you are approved for accommodations, a separate email will be sent with your testing information. Remember that if you earn a 3, 4, or 5 on the exams, public NC universities will grant credit for those.

Please contact Dr. Inscoe, Dean of Students, at linscoe@wcpss.net with any questions.

Monday, May 2, 2022 is a teacher workday. No school for students.

Senior parents, please visit our website to review important information for graduation.

That is all for today! Have a great afternoon! Go Cougars!
