Wake Forest High School Principal Message

Hello, this is Patti Hamler, Principal at Wake Forest High School.
Yearbook distribution will be on Monday, August 9th from 2-6 pm in the Lindsey Gymnasium on campus. Please drive safely and be mindful of the construction in that area.
Student Services is working hard on scheduling. Please refrain from emailing or leaving messages for counselors regarding schedules. On August 13 PowerSchool will open for all students at 3pm, and a schedule change request form will be posted. It will be active on August 17, 18 and 23 until 3pm only.
Reminder Cougar Camp is Wednesday, August 11h for 9th and 10th grade students. Please wear a mask and arrive by 8:30 a.m. for Session I and 12:00 noon for Session II.
There will be a walk-through orientation on August 16th for 11-12 grade students who are new to Wake Forest High School from 9-11am. Schedules will be available at that time.
The PTSA continues to support our students, staff, and families but they need your continued support as well as your time and talents. Even if you can’t volunteer, PTSA MEMBERSHIPS help support the school. All memberships are just $5. Please join on the PTSA website https://www.wfhs-ptsa.com/product-page/parent-memberships
The PTSA will meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. Next meeting is August 9th. Details are on the website.
The first Spirit Night will be on September 15th at PDQ from 5-8 PM. Please join us!

The Wake Forest Athletic Booster Club meets on the 2nd Monday of the month (Unless otherwise posted) at 6 PM WFHS Media Center. Please contact the Athletic Booster Club for questions, becoming a member, to be added onto the email distribution list and for any changes. A copy of your payment receipt will be required to receive a permanent decal and keep your parking space.
Parking Decal Pickup:
Please bring your driver's license (for identification) when picking up your decal. No other copies are needed, except those you were unable to upload online.

Off-Campus Pass Pickup - What to bring with you:
Passes may be picked up at the main entrance to the school. (Under the breezeway)
When picking up your off-campus pass you will need to provide these items:
- Completed Off-Campus Pass form and completed online form for documentation
- Parent with ID (or notarized signature on form)
Dates for Off-Campus Pass Pickup:
- August 11,2021 8:00-11:00 AM and 1:00 - 3:00 PM**This is the last date to pick up passes prior to the first day of school.
Every WCPSS student is eligible to receive a WCPSS-issued device to use at school and at home. Students will receive a new student device every 3 or 4 years. To participate in the Student Device Program, students must sign an annual Student Device Program Agreement Form and follow the expectations outlined in the agreement.
We will host two early distribution dates for students to pick up their devices. Any student who does not already have a WCPSS issued device may stop by school to pick up a device on the days and times listed below.
Monday, August 16th 8 am - 2 pm
Thursday, August 19th 8 am - 2 pm
Check-out tables will be located in the front lobby of the school.
Students who are unable to make it to the early distribution days will receive their device during the first week of school.
Please watch this Town of Wake Forest video to familiarize yourself with the traffic pattern for parents and students to follow for carpool/student drop-off.
