Hello Cougar Families! This is Patti Hamler, Principal of Wake Forest High School.


Monday, February 15th is a Calendar-Out day for all students and teachers. There are no classes.


Tuesday, February 16th is a Teacher Workday. There are no classes for students.


Reminder: ACT test will be administered to ALL juniors on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Updated information is on the website.


Students on Cohort 2/Cohort B will be in person starting Wednesday, February 17 through Friday, February 19. Cohort 3/Cohort C will attend school the week of February 22 and Cohort 1/Cohort A will attend school the week of March 1. The cohort rotations are set by WCPSS through the third quarter, and the calendar can be accessed at this link.


The new schedule for the spring semester is posted on the website. School begins at 7:20 am.


February 24th is an Asynchronous Day for all students. February 23, 2021 is an Asynchronous Day for freshmen, sophomores, and seniors. All juniors will be testing.


This is a reminder: please fill out the forms in the links below to help ensure your child has transportation to and from Wake Forest High School. This information must be completed each year for your child to obtain WCPSS transportation.

Important: Complete a Meal Benefits Application by Feb. 26, 2021

Parents, please consider applying for meal benefits by Feb 26. For every student that turns in the free and reduced lunch application and qualifies, the school receives federal funds that benefit the student and teachers at the school. These funds provide additional teachers and staff for the school which means more services for students, especially students that are struggling in reading or math. These funds also are used for materials and supplies for students and teachers. These are valuable resources that teachers can use to improve student achievement.

Yes, meals will still be free for all students through June 2021 but we still need you to complete a meal benefits application so our school can be eligible for this extra funding next year.
