Hello Cougar Families! This is Patti Hamler, Principal of Wake Forest High School.

Next week begins our regularly scheduled days of instruction. The school day begins promptly at 7:20 am. Please visit the website to see the full schedule.

In the last two weeks, students attending virtual classrooms were subject to disruptions. We all want our teachers and students to learn in a safe space. WFHS staff and administration are committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for all students and will implement best practices. Please help us to ensure the classroom remains secure by talking with your children. Students should NOT share classroom passwords/meeting links with anyone besides their parents.

Virtual Online Senior Night will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020. A recorded PowerPoint presentation and the Senior planning guide will be posted on the school's website and social media and emailed to all senior parents on September 3. At that time, information regarding senior interview sign-ups with counselors will also be available. There is not a specific time for this event, as seniors and their parents will be able to view the information online.

The state immunization law requires that all students, including those participating in the Virtual Academy, are up to date with immunizations. Seniors are now required to have the meningococcal vaccine. Please do not delay in providing this information to us. You can fax the records to 919-670-4378 or drop off records at the school.

Parents and Students, please review the WFHS and WCPSS Parent/Student handbook at the link provided in this message. (https://www.wcpss.net/domain/2590)

That’s all for today! Have a good evening! Go COUGARS!
