Hello Cougar Families! This is Patti Hamler, Principal of Wake Forest High School.
The start of the New Year is almost here. Several new items have been posted to the website, including the bell schedule and the first ever Virtual Cougar Camp for freshmen and new students to Wake Forest High School. If you have questions after watching the slideshow, please attend an information session for freshmen on Monday. Information for joining the meeting are located on the website.
Student schedules will be available for students to view in Power School on Tuesday, August 12th. Due to the demands of meeting the needs of the virtual academy and blended learning, there is no room for schedule changes.
The state immunization law requires that all students, including those participating in the Virtual Academy, are up to date with immunizations by the first day of school, August 17th. Seniors are now required to have the meningococcal vaccine. You are encouraged to immediately check with your doctor to ensure your child is up to date and provide the school with an updated copy of the vaccination record. If you do not have a healthcare provider, you can call 919-562-6300 to schedule an appointment at the Health and Human Services Northern Regional Center. Please do not delay in providing this information to our school. You can fax the records to 919-670-4378 or drop off records at the school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Please visit the WCPSS “Return to Campus” website. You can access it from our school website and click on COVID 19 Update or go directly to www.wcpss.net/returntocampus.
We will continue to provide Driver’s Eligibility Certificates by appointment only, per district guidelines. Send email to firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
That’s all for today! Have a good evening! Go COUGARS!
