4-30-20 Message from Principal Hamler

Wake Forest High School Principal Message

April 30, 2020

Good afternoon Cougar Families – I miss you!

I hope you and your families are staying healthy during this time.

Why Should I Keep Doing School Work? Many of you took part in class discussions around the topic this week. I saw comments such as I want to be prepared for college to, I worry about my productivity if I did not do anything for the next four months. Students thank you for continuing to learn.

Tomorrow, Friday, May 1, 2020 is a Teacher Workday. Teachers and staff will be working together to plan the next steps knowing that we will not be returning to the school building. Students enjoy your long weekend!

Parents and students, please remember that the school campus is CLOSED at this time. No students are allowed on campus to ride bikes, run, hit, or just walk around. Your assistance is appreciated.

If your child has completed Driver’s Education and you believe it is essential for them to have a Driver’s Eligibility Certificate before we return to school, you can submit a request to Amy Burger in Student Services. You must have a scheduled appointment with NCDMV and forward that upcoming appointment document in order to get the form completed here at school.

AP exams will be administered May 11-22. Please see more info on the WFHS website.

Seniors, cap and gown pick-up is Wednesday, May 6th from 11-1. Please be on the lookout for a message this weekend for a little surprise in your honor.

Please continue to visit the WFHS website. There are Resources to Support Students and Families. Information is posted regularly.

That is all for now, BE SAFE. Go Cougars!
