11-19-18 Message from Principal Hamler

School Phone Message

 November 19, 2018

Hello, this is Patti Hamler, Principal of Wake Forest High School.

WCPSS Security Staff working with local law enforcement visited our school today as part of our effort to keep illegal drugs out of our schools. K-9 Patrol Units checked our campus for any contraband. At no time were the dogs in direct contact with our students. Our school is one of several to be visited for this purpose this year.

This is a routine exercise. We had no reason to believe drugs were on our campus.

Schools are not contacted prior to the K-9 exercise. Local law enforcement controls all details of the event and will release any information related to today’s exercise.

School staff and law enforcement are working to keep all Wake County Public School campuses, students, and staff safe. We will continue to take every measure to ensure the safety of our students.

A reminder, tomorrow, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 is an early release day. Dismissal will be at 11:38 AM. Please be mindful of the traffic. Parents please please follow the traffic patterns.

There is no school Wednesday – Friday, November 21-23, 2018. Students will return on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

That’s all for today. Go Cougars!
