Mr. Corey's Weekly Message - 3/28/25
CONNmunity! Here is your weekly Principal Message.
Spring Break is here!!!! We wish all of our CONNmunity a safe and enjoyable break. Remember school resumes on Monday, April 7th!
Thank Yous & Celebrations!
Thank you to our many adult volunteers for your support with lunch duty and in classrooms—your presence makes a difference!
Thank you to our wonderful PTA for our providing staff with refreshing soda pop beverages!
Also, thank you to everyone who made our Spring Musical, The Lion King, a smashing success! We are proud of the work and diligence of our specialist who all come together to put on this production every year. We are also very appreciative to the parents who assist behind the scenes! Thank you!
Gentle Reminder
Please follow the expectations outlined in Volunteer Training. Volunteers support school-designated needs but are not WCPSS staff. You may come across confidential student information (e.g., identification, behavior). Sharing such information if you are not the legal guardian violates FERPA and may result in losing volunteer privileges.
We value your help—please stay in compliance. Any disciplinary concerns should be reported to administration, who will address them per district guidelines and best practices.
Advanced Learning Update
Families, your voices are requested by March 31st! Please consider taking 3 minutes to share your feedback regarding Academically and Intellectually Gifted Programming as well as Advanced Learning Opportunities for all students across the Wake County Public School System. The link below provides a brief overview and a few questions. Thank you for considering sharing your voice as we focus on providing and ensuring all students have advanced learning experiences and opportunities not only at Conn Magnet, but across the Wake County Public School System.

Weekly Reminders
Parents, guardians, and community members of Conn Magnet Elementary School of Entrepreneurial Design, I would like to invite you to my second "Conn ES Principal & Parent Coffee Chat" where we will meet to chat about topics that are important to you. Our first one was held today and it was a very invigorating, open, honest chat with members of our parent community. Our next one will be held on April 25, from 9:15 am - 10:00 am in the Media Center. Feel free to bring your favorite morning Cup O' Joe (coffee) or hot tea or water. In order to help me focus the conversation, please complete the form 7 days prior (by April 18). Here is the link https://forms.gle/b2J9RJ7LLqTYYdiL6.
