We enjoyed welcoming back Cohort 2 Plan B PreK - 3rd grade and Regional Program students this week! Next week, we will welcome Cohort 3 Plan B PreK - 3rd grade and Regional Program students back to campus! As you prepare for your student’s return, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the important information contained in our Conn Magnet Elementary Return to Campus Guide. If you are dropping off your student through carpool, please remember to wear your face mask so our school community stays safe during the health screenings.   

 

Plan B Cohort Rotation Schedule: Please refer to the WCPSS 2020-2021 Semester 1 Elementary Traditional Calendar for all the important dates to remember when transitioning back to in-person learning.

Social Distancing:  On November 16, all cohorts of students for PreK – 3rd grade and Regional Programs will return to campus together and will begin to follow Plan A (Daily In-Person Instruction). Students in this plan will attend class in the school building in-person with their teachers and classmates every school day. The Plan A environment is the most familiar to students, parents, and staff. While we have done a remarkable job following all health and safety protocols and will continue to do so upon this change, social distancing may become challenging. Our priority is to continue to support your student’s health, follow health and safety protocols, and encourage the 3 W's.  

• Wear a face covering at all times. 
• Wash your hands frequently. 
• Wait to ensure appropriate social distancing. 

 

Transportation: As Plan B families begin to prepare to transition back to campus, please review all of our arrival and dismissal procedures in our Return to Campus Guide. Be sure to access carpool procedures, bus procedures and bus route information on our school website.   

   

Parents/Guardians are required to submit the Bus Attestation Form stating that you and your child will abide by all health and safety protocols for bus ridership. Students are not permitted to ride the bus until this form has been submitted. You will need to submit a form for all of your children who plan to ride the bus during the 2020-21 school year. Submit form online | Español   

 

Family Needs Assessment: Please complete the Family Needs Assessment. This information will help our Student Services Team plan for holiday giving and support the needs of our school community. 

 

Scholastic Online Book Fair: This year looks a bit different, so we are traveling on a Time Machine to distant lands and times. On this adventure, we will be able to meet interesting characters and learn new things through the various books available during our annual Scholastic Online Book Fair. Click here for more information on our virtual book fair! 

 

 

School Meals: Meals will be free for all students through June 2021. Breakfast and lunch will be available at no cost for all students who are learning in-person, remotely, or through Virtual Academy. Fill out this form to identify a responsible party to pick up meals for your child. For more information regarding school meals and curbside pickup locations visit wcpss.net/food and FAQs.
