    • May 30 – 5th Grade Science
    • May 31st – 4th and 5th Grade Math
    • June 3rd – 4th and 5th Grade Reading

    • June 5th- 3rd Grade Reading

Teachers are working diligently with students on test preparation and here is how you can support students at home:

Testing Tips for Families

  • Avoid scheduling appointments on test dates.
  • Make sure your child is on time the day of testing.
  • Testing must finish on the day it is started.
  • Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night prior to testing.
  • Ensure a healthy breakfast, avoid high-sugar foods.
  • Encourage your child to review concepts now.
  • Keep a positive attitude about testing in general.

Readministration

Students in grades 3rd, 4th and 5th will take the EOG State Test at the end of this school year.  Should your child meet the criteria for our EOG Remediation and Readministration program you will receive an invitation for your child to attend the program after the EOG testing window closes for our school on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.  For your planning purposes, the program dates for the end of the school year are Monday, June 17th and June 18th. Transportation will be provided, and breakfast and lunch will be available.

WE NEED REALLY NEED YOUR FEEDBACK

We need your feedback. Help us make your child’s school experience as positive and beneficial as possible by giving honest, thoughtful responses to the questions in our family survey from now until May 17.

PARENT INPUT FORM FOR 2024-2025 CLASSROOM PLACEMENT

While we do not take requests for classroom teachers, I want to provide parents/families the opportunity to describe your child’s unique needs that require special placement considerations.

An example of this is:

My child would benefit from a teacher that is nurturing and highly structured.

Please use this FORM to share with the principal, Ms. Morgan, and that information will assist her as she is creating class lists.

Please do not request specific teachers by name or request your child to be with specific students. Requests for rising 1st-5th grade students are due by JUNE 3, 2024.

CARPOOL TRAFFIC REMINDERS

During morning carpool arrival, use ONLY one lane, the right lane for dropping off students.

During afternoon carpool, start with two lanes that will merge into one lane. Cars will alternate at the merge.

Avoid skipping the line. This does not help you to get your child faster. It will slow down the line and prevent your child from standing at the correct “planet”.

Thank you for not passing cars while students are loading into their cars. This ensures students and staff are safe.

In the morning, families may drop students off in the carpool line, between 8:45 AM and 9:15 AM. After 9:15 AM, students are considered late. Those students and an adult need to sign in the front office.

If a parent/guardian needs to pick up their child, early, for an appointment, check outs from the front office ends at 3:15 PM. After 3:15 PM, parents who need to pick up students must do so from carpool.
