4.7.24 Update

Dear Families,

The 2024 Great North American Eclipse will happen on Monday, April 8, 2024. In North Carolina, the partial eclipse will begin around 1:58 p.m. and peak at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Last week, permission forms went home to families if they choose to have their child “opt” out. If you need another copy, the permission form can be found HERE. Families can also send a TalkingPoints message to their child’s teacher.

Wake County Public School student and employee safety is of the utmost importance during this experience. When watching a partial eclipse, students and employees must wear ISO certified eclipse glasses at all times.
