Class List Creation for the Upcoming School Year: As we prepare for the 2025 -2026 school year, we would like to share more about our process for creating class lists. This is a collaborative task that requires careful consideration and planning to ensure that each child is placed in an environment where they can thrive academically and socially. Our school follows a comprehensive approach to class list creation that takes into account multiple factors, including:

Academic Needs: We strive to create balanced classrooms where students of varying academic abilities are distributed evenly. This allows teachers to provide targeted instruction and support to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

Social and Peer Dynamics: Building positive peer relationships is essential for a child's development. We carefully consider the social dynamics within each class to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected. Our student support team takes an active role in supporting this process.

Special Considerations: We also take into account any special considerations or accommodations that may be necessary for certain students, such as those with individual education plans or multi-language learners.

**It's important to note that while we value input from parents and guardians, we are unable to accommodate requests for specific teachers or classmates.**

Our primary goal is to create the best possible learning environment for all students, and this requires a balanced and objective approach to class list creation using data gathered throughout the school year.

If you have any questions about the class list creation process, please don't hesitate to contact Mr. Moore. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way, and we are all excited for the upcoming school year.

End-of-the-Year Celebrations: We look forward to welcoming families to campus for a number of end-of-the-year celebrations as scheduled by the grade-level team. Please remember to sign in with the main office when you arrive on campus. All visitors should have a visible visitor sticker displayed (including PTA Volunteers) as they travel through the building during these special events.

Reminders:

Please do not cut in line, as it delays and disrupts structures in place inside the building and ultimately slows the line down. It is also a safety concern, and we want to ensure all students remain safe during our arrival and dismissal process.

We encourage families to come and have lunch with their students. Students and families should eat in the cafeteria. Due to supervision and safety we can not allow families and students to eat outside at the picnic tables.

Volunteering at Hunter:

Visit Volunteering in WCPSS to learn more about volunteer renewal or apply to be a first-time volunteer. Lunch with students: We encourage our families to join your students during their lunch block. However, we can not allow families to take students out of the cafeteria and eat outside. Thank you for your understanding of this specific safety protocol.
