😎 10 weeks until Summer Vacation! 😎 Now that we have your attention, we need your help, and the best part - it's super simple. Please complete the Panorama Family Survey. https://www.wcpss.net/Page/54475

Helping students do their best in school requires a team effort. Parents, students and schools all play important roles in this process. To help all of us learn how to make your child's schooling experience as positive and beneficial as possible, we need your feedback.

Please complete the Family survey starting tomorrow. The survey is available in various languages, Please click on the dropdown button at the top of the survey to change the language you feel most comfortable with.

Reminders:

Our instructional day begins at 9:15 each day. We work hard to get students through the carpool in a timely and safe manner each morning. If you arrive after 9:15, we ask that you park your vehicle and come to the main office to sign your student in. In addition, our carpool ends at 4:15 each afternoon. If you arrive after 4:15, please come to the Main Office to sign your student out.

Carpool Tags: When driving through the carpool loop, please leave your carpool tags hanging. This will help expedite the dismissal process each afternoon. If you need a new tag, please see the main office.

We also ask that all families join the back of the carpool line on Davie. Please do not cut in line, as it is a safety concern, and we want to ensure all students remain safe during our arrival and dismissal process.

Single Subject Acceleration (SSA)

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Board of Education defines acceleration as allowing a student to move through traditional educational organizations rapidly, based on readiness and motivation. Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is the practice of placing a student in a higher-grade level in one subject area. This type of acceleration is for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either Math or English Language Arts.  The testing window will be April 11 - 25, 2025. If you have any questions, reach out to the SSA Coordinators, Brooke Dillon (bdillon@wcpss.net) and Kristin Hord (khord@wcpss.net).
