Register for Student Orientation RESPONSE REQUESTED: We are excited to welcome you for orientation (official name: Maverick Madness) on Monday, August 1.  Use the form below to register. Students should wear comfortable clothing for team-building activities.  Lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration closes on Friday, July 25 so please register by then. The student portion of the day is from 8:30-1:30 but we would like for all students to attend a session with a parent/guardian/family member from 7:30-8:30 or from 1:30-2:30. 

 

Principal Stotsenberg encourages parents to attend one of the family sessions WITH THEIR CHILD on Monday, August 1 from 7:30-8:30 or from 1:30-2:30.  The session will cover our mission, vision and information which will help make you and your child's transition to WECIB a smooth one.

 

Please use this form to register to attend. This includes a section to choose which family session you will attend and a section for the student to provide their lunch order. 

 

Transportation (Bus and Ride-Sharing)

Student Schedules: Students and parents can view student schedules in PowerSchool tomorrow (July 19). Please contact Mr. Caprio (jcaprio@wcpss.net) if you have trouble accessing PowerSchool. 

 

Schedule Changes: We will only make schedule changes for the following reasons:

1. If the student is scheduled to take a course during the 2022-23 school year for which they have already received credit.
2. If the student is scheduled to take an upper level of a course when they have not yet taken the previous level (e.g., if you are scheduled to take Math 3 but have not taken Math 2).

If either of these issues apply to you, please contact our Dean of Students, Ms. Moore, as soon as possible (fmoore@wcpss.net). 

 

Supply List: Here is our supply list. Please consult your schedule before purchasing any items. 

 

Student Laptops: Students will receive a new laptop from the school, so there is no need to provide your own. If a student has a district-issued Chromebook, please be prepared to trade that in with us in order to get the new laptop. More information on this is coming soon. 

 

Meals RESPONSE REQUESTED: Our cafeteria is planning to provide breakfast and lunch to students who receive free/reduced priced meals or who wish to purchase items from the cafeteria. Cafeteria staff would like to know the number of students that plan to eat a school breakfast on most days. If this applies to your child, please fill out this brief online form. Message from the WECIB PTSA RESPONSE REQUESTED:  The WECIB PTSA wants to treat the school staff right during the first week of school to wish them well in the new school year. We are looking for 4 categories of items: Sweets, Salty snacks, Beverages and Office/school supplies. Please bring your donated items to school on August 1st (Student Orientation). You can drop them off during the morning or afternoon parent session OR send them in with your student. There will be a drop box to the right of the elevators on the second floor next to the entrance to the school office. Any extras from filling the goody bags will go to stock the faculty break room. Wake Tech Warn RESPONSE REQUESTED: Wake Tech WARN is the official emergency alert system of Wake Technical Community College and is used to distribute critical emergency information. In the event of an emergency or inclement weather situation, Wake Tech WARN allows the college to notify students, staff, and registered community members.
