PTSA Meeting: We will have our first PTSA (Parent, Teacher, Student Association) meeting on June 21 at 6 p.m. As you probably know, the PTSA plays an integral part in supporting the work of schools and we are excited to get started.The purpose of this meeting is to elect officers and approve our charter as a brand new PTSA. You do not need any prior experience to join this meeting; feel free to attend, even if you do not want to be an officer…everyone is welcome!

Athletics Meeting: As a reminder, our students are invited to attend an athletics information session at Green Hope High School on Wednesday May 25 at 7 pm. This meeting will take place in the Green Hope High School gymnasium. Students interested in competing on athletic teams next year should attend.

Bus Transportation: The district is still working on bus stops for next year. We will let you know as soon as this information is finalized. If you have any questions or concerns about bus transportation, please contact our data manager, Jeff Caprio (jcaprio@wcpss.net). 

Advanced Placement Agreement: If your student signed up for an Advanced Placement (AP) class for next year (AP World History or AP US Government & Politics), please view this document, discuss with your student, and complete the Attestation Statement at the bottom of the document.

Important Dates:

• August 1: Maverick Mania (Student Orientation), 7:30-3:30. This is a full day event for students and will include a session for parents from 7:30-8:30 and it will be repeated again from 2:30-3:30. More information, including registration details, will come later.
• August 8: First day of school
• August 18: Maverick Open House, 6:30-8:00
